We are building a new solar system, our fourth system. Over its life time, this system will reduce our electric output by 611,285 pounds of CO2, or 28,372 gallons of oil, or 713,316 miles driven. It is the equivalent of 26,370 trees planted, or 227 acres of forest. Over its lifetime, it will save over $100,000 which can be used instead for our programs. We also will be net-metering our energy to other housing nonprofits in Worcester, helping reduce their operating costs. We have a fifth project coming on-line this year as well – a solar carport – stay tuned!
